Description: The pantomimes were Jack and the Beanstalk or Harlequin Mother Goose's Fairytale, which were held at the workhouse. The children from the poor house were unable to attend the pantomimes at the theatre. It includes a letter to the editor defending the reasons for the poor children not being allowed in (by James Henry Chute).
