Description: It concerns a prediction that Beacon Hill would kiss Beechen Cliff, causing many people to leave the city. It turns out that it was a hoax and also details a similar event in Bala, Monmouthshire, where there was predicted to be a flood overriding the town, but it did not happen. The prediction was possibly related to a cock fight where the cocks were named Beechen and Mount Beacon. See Image Ref. 42023.
