Description: 500 years old, opposite Mr. East. They were located between the White Hart stables and Cross Bath Lane (St. Michael's Place) and are depicted as they stood in the year 1835. When they were pulled down in 1836 a skeleton of a cat was found in between the joists, with a rat in its mouth. John East was a butcher at 35, Westgate Street, on the corner of Parsonage Lane.
