Description: An ink drawing from when the houses were newly built. Looking northwards from James Street West, with St. Mary's Chapel, Queen Square in the distance. The building to the left of the chapel, the Elephant and Castle Inn, became the site of St. Paul's Church in the 1870s. All the buildings on the right, up to Monmouth Street, have been demolished.
