Description: Taking in Bath on his way to Palestine. An incident not to be found in either Goldsmith, Hume, Smollett or Macauley. A teaser poster for a pantomime to be produced at Christmas. It opened on 26th December 1850 and ran through to January 1851 to a glowing review by the Bath Chronicle, which was particularly taken with the ludicrous scene of the 'armies' of Richard and Saladin fighting on stage.
