Description: View from the southeast from the top of Bathwick Hill. The abbey is at the foot of the hill, with the old St. Michael's Church tower to the right. To Captain Parry, R.N., this view of his native city is inscribed by J. Britton. From "Picturesque Antiquities of the English Cities" by John Britton F.S.A. M.R.S.L., 1836, following p.80.
