Description: The brick built old Brain's Surgery (Brooklyn Rd) can be seen at the end on the right. The now-demolished Eldon Place opposite. They must have had little wash houses backing on to the lane, but all gone now, as is the cottage top left of the lane. A young girl sits on a home-made go kart in the foreground. Peggy Foster stands by the lamp post whilst Sandy Caley sits on the cart, with her sister crouching to the right.
