Description: Loose ephemera. This appears to be part of a letter addressed to a member of the Batten-Pool family from Rode (Road). From the third of three dyebooks ranging from the mid-18th to early 19th century. This book gives a sample of dyed cloth made from wool. The colours are well preserved and therefore show the sorts of colours of the clothing worn at the time. Presented by Captain Arthur Batten-Pool V.C. M.C. of Rode Manor, December 1953
