Description: Most probably from the flood in December 1960. The constricting arches of the Old Bridge was the reason it had to be demolished and replaced with the single span Churchill Bridge. Note the looming coal fired power station in the background and the fine view of Electricity (Churchill) House.
From the photograph collection of Jim Whiteway (1931-2014).
