Description: This plan shows the fascinating extensive underground workings the comprised the massive and secret complex at Monkton Farleigh. Details include the aerial ropeway used to transport munitions from the railway to the quarry, prior to construction of the tunnel and all buildings, which are marked with the accompanying key. This plan is marked secret. This plan was part of a collection relating to the conversion of the stone quarries for the storage of munitions during world war two.
