Description: This shows 1 & 2, Yewmead Cottages, Brassmill Lane looking west. They were demolished in March 1964 to make way for Brassmill Lane Trading Estate. The last great flood of Bath came in July 1968, after a long period of drought; a phenomenal downpour overwhelmed the evolving flood defences before they were fully operational. They have proved effective in protecting Bath since then. See Image Ref. 12990.
