Description: Private Stanley V. Wootten, captured by the Germans on 11th January 1917 was repatriated by the Red Cross after becoming seriously ill with pneumonia and influenza. His own mother did not recognise him on his return. He was employed by Stothert and Pitt and worked in the drawing office.
