Description: A fabulously detailed view of Bath. Note the overall canopy over Bath Spa Station as designed by Brunel. Also, the spire of St. John's Church has yet to be built. It was erected in 1867. This shot gives a good view of St. Mark's Church and burial ground. The two houses to the right of the Church look newly built.
A panoramic photograph by J. & J. Dutton, photographers, Bath (No. 1). One of a series of fascinating early panoramic views of Bath from the 1860s.
