Description: This exceptionally clear view shows the partially cleared Avon Street area, the site earmarked for the Mineral Water Hospital is occupied by 1950s coaches. The Forum represents one of the newest buildings in this view, prior to Bath's widespread redevelopment in the 1960s. The footprint of the recently demolished St. James's Church can clearly be seen. The Recreation Ground is shown with a cricket match in place. In the background, Berkeley House in Snow Hill is under construction.
Photographed by Aerofilms Ltd. (No. A67740) in June 1957.
