Description: Rainwater hoppers dated 1628 are shown along with an amazing ancient key.
A rare record of one of Bath's lost grand houses. Claverton Manor was demolished and rebuilt at the top of the hill, now the home of the American Museum. The steps and stone balustrade still survive in Claverton village. Published in "Observations on the Architecture of England during the reigns of Queen Elizabeth and King James I" by Charles Richardson, architect 1837.
