Description: The Roman Rendezvous was first held on four nights during the Bath Festival in 1962. A 5 shilling ticket (25p) allowed the holder to swim in the Roman Great Bath and dance the night away in the Pump Room. More than 1,400 people took part and it proved hugely popular as well as controversial. It continued over several more years before stopping in the 1970s.
Photographed on 31st May 1973.
