Description: This map marks the start of a series of new and correct plans of the City of Bath that together illustrate the building of the Georgian city. The earliest maps in this series are anonymous, but they were probably published by local booksellers such as those who published maps from 1770 onwards. All the maps in this series use Wood's map as their base with new buildings added as and when (or sometimes before) they were constructed. This map contains other useful information such as the post timetable and the rules for the Pump Room.
