Description: Dating from c.1760. Beau Nash was Master of Ceremonies for Bath from 1704 until his death. He was largely responsible for the rise of the city as a fashionable resort. Often depicted with his trademark white tricorn hat. From an Original painted by Mr. Hoare and presented to the Corporation of the City of Bath. A. Walker sculp.
