Description: Painted by John Callcott Horsley (1817-1903), oil on canvas. Book illustrator who is known for his historical genre scenes, such as this. Commissioned by Henry Cole to design the first Christmas card in 1843. He was brother-in-law of Isambard Brunel, who he painted several times.
