Description: The second day of the visit of Sir Joseph Dimsdale on 11th September 1902, Lord Mayor of London. The dignitaries emerge from the Abbey at 11am after a service. The newspaper report of the time bemoaned the fact that the 'gorgeous liveries' of the footmen and coachmen were obscured by mackintoshes and special waterproof covers on their hats, owing to the heavy rain. The ceremonial mace is visible in the background. Brydon's new extension to the Pump Room is visible on the right.
