Description:

Built on glebe land, this site is now underneath the east end of the Parade on the High Street. A small walled enclosure to the right of the building would have held stray animals in a pound until they could be claimed by their owners. The small, windowless lock-up with the plank door was known as the Blind House with the cart shed to the west being added in the 1890s when it was taken over by Bath District Council as a contractor's yard.

From a collection of photos with unidentified photographers.
