Description:

This new clubhouse was opened in August 1880 next to the Old Crown Inn. Messrs Carr bought the former George Inn and its adjacent stables on which to build the Club and Hall. The larger hall behind was intended as community space, and the building is still the site of the Twerton Millennium Village Hall.
