These striking images, taken from the covers of vintage Bath Official Guidebooks and Bath Festival posters, show how tastes and styles in design changed during the 20th century.

The International Music Festival was originally called the Bath Assembly when launched in 1948. The celebrated violinist Yehudi Menuhin was Artistic Director for many of the early years. It merged with the Bath Literature Festival in 2017 to become the new multi-arts Bath Festival."
